New Treatments in Ophthalmology

This presentation (recorded live at Eyecare3000 Glasgow 2013) will introduce potential future treatments in ophthalmology such as radiation therapy (epimacular brachytherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery), retinal implants (sub-retinal microchips and stem cells) and femtosecond laser technology in phacoemulsification cataract surgery.

ECPs are often the first port of call and perceived to be accessible advisors to patients who are seeking further information on new treatment. This lecture provides the relevant information to allow ECPs to arm themselves with the knowledge required to confidently describe new advances in ophthalmology for the benefit of their patients.
