‘If only I had known…’ An Introduction to Low Vision Technology

Technological Solutions to Low Vision recognises that sight loss is set to double in the UK over the next thirty years and that traditional optical methods are increasingly insufficient to the needs of the modern low vision patient. Through the presentation of four scenarios, delegates will learn of the most up to date electronic and software solutions which will be demonstrated at the conclusion of each scenario.

It discusses the problems visually impaired people experience even when visiting eye care practitioners and considers what reasonable adjustments should be made to better serve such patients. A unique perspective is provided by the presenter who is registered blind.
