This lecture will offer an overview of the general scientific fundamentals of blue light damage, following which it will explain recent scientific evidence that has identified a more precise retinal phototoxic spectrum. Once this background is explored the final areas will cover the increasing amount of indoor exposure from modern day digital devices along with low energy light bulbs and how protection can be provided by several modern HMAR coatings.
