What can a baby see? This is a question that has exercised the minds of many neuroscientists and psychologists over the years. This presentation will discuss the changes that occur in the anatomy and physiology of the human visual system over the first few years of life. New techniques and technologies for assessing the visual function of children will be described along with the current status of vision screening and eyecare in the UK.
